Back in Business! Ranveer Recovers from Injury to Plunge into Action

Ranveer Singh had a difficult injury to his shoulder around May this year. Triggered by a hard fall from horseback, Ranveer suffered this injury while shooting for ‘Bajirao Mastani’, forcing him to rest up for nearly 2monthsHe was spotted wearing cool slings while promoting ‘Dil Dhadhakne Do’ But there is very good news for his fans & filmmakers, as Ranveer has made a near complete recovery very quickly from this major injury.
Shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, with its epic action sequences, sword fighting and training for combat, had brought out the enthusiastic action hero in Ranveer. But the injury compelled him to stop all physically intensive shooting, however Sanjay Leela Bhansali continued to shoot other portions during this course thus not interrupting the film schedule.
Determined to make full recovery, Ranveer has focused on healing and physiotherapy extensively, and now is back to great physical shape. Earlier, movement of the shoulder after surgery was very restricted & physiotherapists focused on increasing the range of his shoulder’s movements.
In his own words, Ranveer fills us on his tough physiotherapy schedule. He said,“I have been treated like an athlete would be treated. It’s 3 hours of physiotherapy each day, 1 hour in the morning followed by 1 hour in the middle of shoot and 1 hour post wrap.The physiotherapy program assigned to me is the same as one assigns to a professional athlete and the recovery has been five times faster than that of a normal person. “ 
Ranveer has been shooting emotionally intense scenes for Bajirao Mastani. End of this week he will turn his attention on physically demanding action sequences. Giving his all, Ranveer has once again gone the extra mile for the iconic part of Maratha royal Peshwa Bajirao.

International stunt and sports director, Robert Miller aka Rob Miller who has worked on several Hollywood films including John Miller Must Die and License to Wed, apart from international sitcoms like One Tree Hill and The Office has been roped in to direct the sports sequences in MSM Motion Pictures & Balaji Motion Pictures' Azhar starring Emraan Hashmi.
The sports director who last worked on National award winning sports films ' Mary Kom , Bhaag Milkha Bhaag  and Chak De! India ‘ will now be chalking out and directing some crucial highlight scenes in the entertainer based on the life and times of former Indian Captain , Azharuddin.. Sources reveal that Rob and his team of stunt and sports coordinators are currently in London, where the film is being shot. Recently we spotted cricketer Azharuddin flying to London to overlook the filming of the cricket scenes and support Emraan Hashmi in the portrayal of himself. One could only imagine what a cricketing  extravaganza film ‘Azhar’ would be with  Azharuddin’s technique and Rob miller’s expertise.
Rob Miller’s quote - " We are excited to come on board, Azhar. Its been exciting few days on the sets as we are shooting critical cricket portions. Emraan is in full form and working hard on his cricketing skills. Tony is particular about bringing authenticity of the game to the film and we all are fully committed to that."

A special van for Akshay Kumar all the way from Bulgaria

While shooting in Romania for Singh is Bliing, Akshay Kumar had a vanity van brought in from Bulgaria. The reason being, Romania didn’t have a large van that could meet the actor’s specifications. Producer Ashwini Yardi confirms, “Akshay had a vigorous action schedule in Romania with a song and a 10-day long action. We thought it would be best to provide him with the most luxurious vanity van so that his comfort between shots is taken care of. The van was specially called in from another country (Bulgaria). It had a massage chair, a bedroom that extended out to a regular size bedroom at any home, a full functional kitchen and a huge dining area.”

‘The Transporter: Refueled’ Celebrates Reboot With Rocking Party at Playboy Mansion

EuropaCorp celebrated the reboot of “The Transporter” franchise in style Tuesday night with a premiere and party at the Playboy Mansion, replete with dancers and Playboy bunnies. Despite stepping into the shoes of an iconic action hero, Ed Skrein said he wasn’t nervous and approached his role in “The Transporter: Refueled” like he does any other.

“I approached it the same way I approach my independent movies for $300,000,” Skrein said. “I try to be as honest as I can in each situation and live each moment how the script dictates, not how previous movies have been, not how anybody else would have done it, not with the thought of it being a franchise.”
Skrein assumed the role of Frank Martin, played famously in three films by Jason Statham (Chris Vance also plays Frank Martin in the TV series), a former special-ops mercenary who is now living a “less perilous” life transporting classified packages for famous people.
Starting fresh and rebooting the franchise was exciting, said Loan Chabanol, who plays a femme fatale that requires Martin’s skills to exact revenge on a Russian mobster.
“You can’t really look at what’s been done,” Chabanol said. “It’s a new film, it’s a new cast, it’s a new everything. New is exciting.”
The movie played on a projector in one of the rooms of Hef’s manse with a spread of Hershey’s chocolate, Wild Berry Skittles and wine. After the screening, dancers dressed like Chabanol’s character escorted guests to the other end of the house for the after-party. Attendees mingled around the famous Playboy Mansion Grotto and the private zoo, while the dancers performed again on a stage with impressively synchronized fog machines.
In addition to the “Transporter”-themed drinks at the bar (the best of which was The Transporter Mule), partygoers posed for pictures and videos with a wind machine that sent suit jackets, scarves and hair flying.
“The Transporter: Refueled” opens on Sept. 4 and also stars Ray Stevenson, Lenn Kudrjawizki, Tatiana Pajkovic and Radivoje Bukvic.


GLOBAL POP SENSATION JUSTIN BIEBER TO RETURN TO THE 2015 “MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS” STAGE WITH FIRST-EVER PERFORMANCE OF NEW SINGLE “WHAT DO YOU MEAN”

Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Justin Bieber today announced that he will perform “What Do You Mean,” the lead single from his highly anticipated new album, at the 2015 “MTV Video Music Awards,” airing Sunday, August 30th.

Eros International & Hansal Mehta’s Aligarh to have its World Premiere at the 20th Busan International Film Festival

Hansal Mehta is known for his sensitive, quality films that have a substantial story to tell. Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), the prestigious Asian film jamboree has recognized this National Award winner’s ability to tell unusual human celluloid stories by lending its platform for the World Premiere of his next, Aligarh in its section - A Window on Asian Cinema. The most applauded & keenly watched film festival in Asia, BIFF brings together some of the best filmmaking talent from across the world.
Starring acclaimed actors, Manoj Bajpayee & Rajkummar Rao in key roles, Aligarh is based on a real life incident in Uttar Pradesh which found its way into the headlines not so long back. A Professor (Manoj Bajpayee) is suspended by his University for being gay after he is caught on camera in a sting operation. A young journalist (Rajkummar Rao) investigates his first breaking story. Set in the myriad dark lanes of a volatile, decadent society, the two strike an unlikely friendship that will change them forever.
Speaking on this, Hansal said, “I think it’s a special reward to a fantastically dedicated team that worked on making Aligarh so special. Busan is Asia’s biggest film festival and being selected as part of such an excellent line-up is an honour. ”

EEMA ANNOUNCES THE INTERNATIONAL JURY FOR EEMAX GLOBAL AWARDS 2015

The Indian event industry’s apex body, the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), has unveiled a list of eminent dignitaries from across the globe to grace the International Jury of Experts panel of the first edition of EEMAX GLOBAL Awards 2015. Established to recognize excellence and honor the best events and experiential marketing projects from India and around the world, the prestigious conclave and awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the 19th and 20th September, 2015 at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
The International Jury has been carefully curated by EEMA, bringing on board leaders from around the globe from the world of brands, media, cinema, advertising, marketing and events. Crossing boundaries, the carefully chosen jury members will adjudicate on a unified platform and choose the best and most deserved talent and performances in the event industry.
